More California madness: remember that UCSD placements in remedial math went up 30x in a short time period? Well, at least UC is able to remediate missing math skills. CA Community Colleges have now essentially banned remediation, forcing placement directly into calculus. 1/

In the CCC we are forbidden to even talk about the AB1705 Irwin Bill which automatically places students into Calculus 1 for STEM degrees. Our academic leaders are paralyzed by “supposed threats” to our legislatures looking to change this bill or offer a new one. California Democracy in action!
