@HollywoodHandle Not that I care to see it but it is competing against the minions. I'm sure that's affecting ticket sales
English

@HollywoodHandle So they are definitely going to be making a profit but it wont be nearly as much as they used to. Hopefully it still tells disney to lay off on these live action remakes.
English

@HollywoodHandle $150m will be just the US domestic take. Moana LA gonna be huge.
English

@HollywoodHandle iron lung and the backrooms are definitely the better movies than what disney makes nowadays
English

@HollywoodHandle good, respect animation as a medium and stop regurgitating the same stories frame for frame out of greed
English

@HollywoodHandle It wasn't needed lol the original and sequel are still too recent.
It just got fast tracked to get done before the rock gets super old.
Still, they should've just done Hercules instead
English

@HollywoodHandle Disney is run by retarded Gen Z. How the fuck we waiting for Moana 3 trilogy and they put out live action part 1. Thats some Hack Snyder shit.
English

@HollywoodHandle Im surprised 130 MILLION people wants to see this shit
English

@HollywoodHandle Let’s be honest, who is actually asking for these?
English

@HollywoodHandle 200 Mill plus the marketing budget which means that this film will have to make 4 to 600 million to break even.
English

@HollywoodHandle With Brand New Day releasing later in the month it's going to be tough for this movie to have legs.
English

@HollywoodHandle Like I said, far to soon to remake this movie.
It’s not even half of Mario galaxy and Toy Story’s opening weekend
English

@HollywoodHandle Don’t let evil dead burn get more money than the Moana remake
English

@HollywoodHandle God this film looks shit.
They've done nothing to sell me on why I'd see this instead of just watching the original. Everything "the same" looks the same and everything different looks worse.
English

@HollywoodHandle To be fair Mufasa opened with less and look what happened there. This looks bad though
English

@HollywoodHandle SO WHAT. Only on social media where people obsess about box office numbers like they lost money or are studio accounts. Now, I want to go. 🤣
English

@HollywoodHandle It was way too soon for a live action Moana remake. What did Disney expect?
English

@HollywoodHandle Opening weekend $130 is amazing. It’s going into summer and will easily profit over a 60 day window
English

@HollywoodHandle A big difference is Little Mermaid came out 30 year prior to live action, while Cinderella is generational. Moana dropped just 10 years ago, so those kids aren’t even old enough for nostalgia.
English

@HollywoodHandle Global box office will determine this movie.
If it doesn't break even then studios need to rethink how they use Dawyne Johnson
English

@HollywoodHandle This movie will have legs. End up with 650 million worldwide at least
English

@HollywoodHandle I mean.. it'll hit $750M+ so... Not sure why we're even talking about it honestly
English

@HollywoodHandle Disney only allowed this remake to happen just to make the Rock happy and they didn't want to tell him 'no' but after this, they won't remake recent movies so soon like this. Hope Dwayne's satisfied. You're welcome.
English

@HollywoodHandle Why are people still seeing remakes of old or now modern classics with bleak coloring, bastardized characters/character assassination and badly made cgi and music that kills the love of the films entertainment?
English

@HollywoodHandle Ayo people, if it’s still in your theaters now, go see Masters of the Universe instead. A movie where you actually feel something that isn’t dread nor feeling like you’re watching a product and not a movie.
English

@HollywoodHandle I think it will do better! x.com/jakelangford94…
Jake@JakeLangford94
Moana comes out July 10th and is set to easily steal the box office crown from Minions & Monsters in their opening weekend. Moana has been a Disney+ goldmine as it still remains one of the most streamed movies ever. My prediction for opening weekend is $84M domestically and about $200M internationally. With a pretty huge budget this movie needs to clear about $600M to be profitable and my prediction for the end of the box office run will be around $940M! #Moana
English

@HollywoodHandle Honestly I think this one looks like one if the better movies. Definitely plan on taking my family to see

English

@HollywoodHandle A movie will open with 130M is considered worst lmfao
