Kevin Nguyen is a Respiratory Therapist at Intermountain Health Medical Center. As Kevin made a routine check on one of his patients, something he’s done countless times, what he found was anything but routine. The patient had a gun. Without hesitation, Kevin stepped in and calmly, courageously intervened. His actions likely saved a life that day. What could have ended in tragedy became a moment of hope because someone cared, someone acted, and someone showed up-not just as a healthcare professional, but as a human being.
