GOOD: Green Party targeting rentier capitalism + Labour Party working on behalf of developers BAD: Green Party promising less than half the affordable/social housing units it's in manifesto v Labour No point having a populist message without radical ideas to see if through
The Green Party@TheGreenParty

"Hundreds of millions have been handed to property developers, yet some of those developments don't contain a single affordable home. That's a shameful record on housing - and a Green mayor will change it." Zack Polanski says it's time to end Labour’s developer-led politics and build the affordable and publicly-owned homes Greater Manchester needs.

@InvisibleMapper 20,000 homes from Green Party is less than half of what is in Places for Everyone plan for GM for affordable homes. Need at least 50,000 Council, Social and genuinely affordable homes for GM that @bevcraig is pledging and from working with her in Manchester, know she will deliver

@gavinwhite76 @bevcraig Unless the next mayor, whoever they are, stands up against financial capitalism being allowed to extract out of GM and moves beyond the MCR model it won’t be anywhere near enough to address the housing crisis.

@InvisibleMapper @bevcraig We definitely need significantly more council housing like we have built recently in Newton Heath, and are building in Collyhurst, to address the crisis we face in GM in relation to housing. With @andyburnham as PM, and @bevcraig as GM Mayor, I am confident we can do so together.
