Anthony Edwards dragged the Timberwolves out of irrelevance faster than anyone could’ve imagined. A franchise that spent decades searching for direction suddenly became one of the biggest threats in the Western Conference the moment Ant became the guy. Not because Minnesota built some perfect superteam. Because their 24-year-old star kept forcing them further than they were supposed to go. Every season started looking bigger than the last: 🔹 Lottery team 🔹 Young playoff team 🔹 Dangerous playoff team 🔹 Western Conference Finals team 🔹 Legit contender Minnesota’s problem isn’t whether Anthony Edwards is good enough. The real question is whether the Wolves are asking him to do too much. There’s a difference between being the face of a contender and being responsible for every difficult shot, every late-clock possession and every offensive bailout when things collapse. At some point, every superstar needs another star next to them. Who should Minnesota pair with Ant? 🤔

@ClutchPoints He had multiple superstars, but the game is about roasters now not just superstars

@piyushbajajsays @ClutchPoints Huh name one? Not to say that I don’t agree with needing more than two superstars and needing a good roll playing team but the closest has been Kat and he is one of the most inconsistent bigs with high highs and low lows not quiet a superstar imo

@Itsctrl @ClutchPoints I know you won’t accept after 1/12 output in an elimination game but Randle and Gobert are multi time all star and 4x DPOY

@piyushbajajsays @ClutchPoints Rudy even with the defensive player of the year year awards was never a superstar not that it isn’t an impressive accomplishment but he’s truly a liability on offense in an objective way and his play style seems to have completely phased out of the league

@piyushbajajsays @ClutchPoints Randle has shown flashes of brilliance and I’m even though I’m super pissed about his playoff performance I again don’t consider him a superstar, he’s lazy and only plays when he wants to and often times he doesn’t want to

@Itsctrl @ClutchPoints I say superstars who are atleast multi time all stars and when teams pursue them they offer high value assets and eats up good cap space. I totally agree it’s a wrong investment but still it was an investment done at high level
