Post

I played The Dunes in SC last March. Older members rushed us through in 4hrs including grabbing a dog. They played from the front tees, didn't putt out and complained we were slowing them down.
We never got to enjoy the course as we should have. We played cart path only many holes and weren't afforded time to find a ball 3 feet off the fairway. No time to look at a putt. Not allowed the chance to play competition because someone else's idea of "fun" was to kick it around like entitled snobs. Total BS

@Bobba2k @NUCLRGOLF Then just let them pass 🤷🏼♂️
but if you played a round in 4 hours that’s 13.5 minutes a hole that’s plenty of time to do everything… math ain’t mathing
English

@hawktastic_1 @Bobba2k @NUCLRGOLF What do you do if behind you there are groups with no gaps? In order to let one group go, you need to wait for them, and after that, when it is your turn, the next group has already caught up. It is not that simple.
It is golf, not running.

@JaimePB75 @Bobba2k @NUCLRGOLF Then you aren’t really playing a 4 hour round I’d bet probably playing closer to a 4.5 hour round and you’re the issue with this post
English

@JaimePB75 @Bobba2k @NUCLRGOLF Also there’s this thing called the turn or a cart girl. When you see her wave at them up letting them know you’ll let them play through. Then your order and by the time the group finished they play and you get refreshed and no time is wasted
English

@hawktastic_1 @Bobba2k @NUCLRGOLF That might be in America, in my scottish course we barely use carts, it is too wet. Walking a very hilly course I play usually in 3:30-3:45, but it bothers me those solo players that want to play in three hours and hit the ball whilst you are in the fairway so you let them go.
English

@JaimePB75 @Bobba2k @NUCLRGOLF 3:30-3:45 is perfect. It’s the 4.5 that’s an issue. If you’re playing 3.5-4 and they’re doing that they’re dicks.
English

@hawktastic_1 @Bobba2k @NUCLRGOLF That is the problem, there are too many people like that. I am spaniard, moved here a few years ago, but back there we used to play 3-4 people groups, always arranging games with friends, but if not, pro shop would arrange the groups to optimise the tee offs. Too many solos here.
English

@hawktastic_1 @Bobba2k @NUCLRGOLF BTW, playing a round in a cart in 4.5 hours sounds insane to me. You are not walking, how can it take that much?
English

@JaimePB75 @Bobba2k @NUCLRGOLF It is. I play in the evening in Florida like you. As it’s too hot and me and my buddy can walk 9 in about an hour. Last round we were shocked we caught the group in front of us that went out at 2:30 in a cart and we went out at 3:30, we caught them on 8. We walked the front 9
English

@JaimePB75 @Bobba2k @NUCLRGOLF A second time for the “back 9” 🤣 ended up being a sub 2.5 hour round walking. But we were playing lights out. I was 4 over on the front him 5 over. I think I hit 7 or 8 GIR. But people in carts like to drive over and all 3 will watch 1 guy hit. Thus adding in time.
English

@hawktastic_1 @Bobba2k @NUCLRGOLF Mmmm, one thing here about watching. I play with my 15 years old son, and I am a 18 handicap, so not very good, but he is still 30. So I wait for him to play at the same line, and I make him wait, just to avoid any accident. A friend was hit by her husband whilst she was waiting
English

@hawktastic_1 @Bobba2k @NUCLRGOLF at red tees, behind the signal, but he shanked it, all running low, broke her ankle. And met another guy that lost a fragment of skull. So, when you are as bad as we are, sometimes is not about watching, but just precaution. Although I am always ready, and play ready golf.
English

@JaimePB75 @hawktastic_1 @Bobba2k @NUCLRGOLF You shouldn’t fukking be out there if you are breaking people’s ankles
I play with friends all the time who can hit it anywhere on any given shot
I watch them hit and if it’s coming at me I have plenty of time to get out of the way
