Why Charles wen probably was told to leave or left himself. Take a everything I say with a grain of salt. This going off multiple sources. He was trying to take the game in a new direction, we saw a bit of this during chapter 5, (rumor) he didn't like fortnite's old storyline. Which is why he started taking the story in a different direction. The game started to not feel like fortnite so he was told to leave. On the contrary, he might have just quietly left because Epic wouldn't let him do what he wanted to do fully, Which one do you believe happened?
