Played better today so no increase, rather a 0.3 decrease in handicap.

The tariff on my handicap after last round was 0.7. If I don't score at least 33 pts next round it is an additional 0.6. And they say the price of eggs is bad.

Of the upcoming 8 eight rounds 5 are used in calculating my handicap. I need 38 points next round to not gain a stroke. 31 points or less and I get 0.9 more in handicap. In july the hard cap will go up 0.6, shortly after my handicap will follow. Yikes.

Yikesies. Another bad round and now I've hit the soft cap exactly at the number. The only thing I've hit all year in golf.

Yesterday I hit 4-5 decent drives. The rest was abysmal. Utter rubbish. Still scored 34 points due to finding the ball and hitting good second shots and putting phenomenally. Handicap still going up by 0.2. Can't go up next round.

Due to the strange intricacies of the soft cap, it seems that I might go up .1 if I score 33 or less poins.

The intricacies weren't that strange. 29 and didn't go up. 2 of the next three rounds to disappear from the last 20 are counting including the best from all. Chuck Yeager was perhaps faster when he broke the sound barrier, but he didn't hit it as hard as I will hit the hard cap.

Trying something new. Leaving the driver, 3-wood and 4-wood in the locker in an attempt to trick my brain into believing I can hit many good shots in a row. It'd go better than expected, 29, +.1, Still a lot of hard work. Next round is a freebie then 3 of the better ones go.

The new tactics has helped on one thing, not losing balls. Had the same ball for more than 2 rounds now. Still play quite badly. 27, bus as it was a freebie, no change in handicap. But it has to get worse before it gets better, right? Right? Right?

And it has gone worse, much worse. A measley 21 points, somehow it seemed like I lost a bit of distance, doubt it was only the wind. +.7. Yikesies.

Somewhat better 34 pts, -.2. Long game felt like it could improve and get more stable now, short game a bit off today. Funny I think I forgot something important, can't think of it right now, oh, got it now, made a hole-in-one on the 10th, my first ace.

Played horribly today. +.3. Long game fell apart, short game a bit more off.

-0.1. Playing a gunstart I scored 21 on the first nine holes then my driving went awful. Did scrape 12 points together on the last 9. Even won a bottle of red.

32 again -.1. Hit a few putts to hard but holed quite a few of the returns. A new low handicap (.6 higher) should have kicked in but hasn't. Maybe it doesn't until July 17th.

An astonishing 39 points. Due to the fact that the designers of the world handicap system aren't capable of applying simple maths I end up only -.1 even though I did not lose a good round from the last 20. Does that seem fair to you? Me neither.

33 points today. No change in handicap. Might not hit the hard cap after all. The season is still young so you never know.

A measley effing 18 points. +.2. I feel like I am in a Native American inspired flotation device without an instrument to propel me in my desired direction in a moving fluid named after a tv-show.

32 points on wednesday. No change in index. Why do I love hating golf and hate loving golf?

30 points yesterday, +.1.

On Wednesday I got a sad 26 points. No change in index. Low handicap goes up after next round. I hate my swing. Latest theory is that I get to the ball too early.

On sep 17 got 28 points. No change in index. Next 2 rounds are rounds that count including one very good round. Yikesies.

34 points today after a too long break. +.4. May have found something that might allow me to get back to hitting the ball better after bad shots. Time will tell. Did win 2 bottles of red one for 3rd, one for closest to the pin. 10 yards but did make the par.

Correction: there was a totally unwarranted PCC of 1 yesterday so actually only +.3.

Haven't played in a little over a month so I guess 30 points is not that bad, slight drizzle and some wind. +.2 though. Kept the ball in play (yay) but had 8-9 putts going past the hole barely inches away from going in.

Overnight frost had the course playing interestingly. A gentle lob on my first hole went "BOING" and bounced off the green. Got the hang of it and scored 37 points and a bottle of red. -0.2 depending on PCC though there were good scores so doubt it will interfere. Same ball yay.

29 in frosty but very sunny weather. No change as a non-counting round moves out of the latest 20. Lost the ball that had lasted a bit over 2 rounds. I need warmer socks if I am to continue playing during the winter.

Wearing ski socks wasn't quite sufficient yesterday. About -1 degree celcius. Scored 28 points and +.2. 4 non-counting rounds coming up. Hit a 4 wood about 250 meters. Must have hit a frozen puddle and scampered on. Ususally only goes 150m.

First round in a while. 38 pts. -.3 unless there is pcc. Often hit it quite straight but the old swing keeps creeping in though it is easier to get back to a better swing. Got tired towards the end of the round and missed out on a few more points. 2026 might not suck big league.
