As a principal, I would hire a mom over a recent education grad. Teaching credentials are overrated.

@griswold @Principal_Jon Why stop at 5th grade? One of the few studies I have heard of showed that HS teachers without education degrees outperformed teachers with education degrees. The reason was that some of them without education degrees used to work in the field they were now teaching.

@KernelArray @Principal_Jon Because I want to win. The counterarguments get stronger as age increases (noting the data may not support the claims), but I think the policy victory can happen in PK-5, where there are millions of qualified parents.
