
There’s a huge misconception that conservatives are somehow celebrating these new tariffs. We’re not. We’re looking at how these negotiations, or lack of them, have been handled and pointing out the obvious consequences.
I care about the Canadian economy, which is exactly why I’m concerned. Instead of accusing conservatives of cheering for Canada to fail, maybe take a look at just how dependent our economy is on trade with the U.S.
Other countries have managed to make deals. Why can’t we get there? These tariffs aren’t a political game. Canadians will pay the price if we don’t get a deal done.
