I’ve met different Christians here on X, but let’s be honest for a second, nobody studies the Bible like Jehovah's Witnesses. Agree or not, they don’t just quote it, they live inside it. Most people carry a Bible. They actually read it.

@MasterMaliq Wrong they live by the Watchtower and a website that interprets the Bible for them even if it's twists the Bible to fit their doctrines which happens alot. Like labeling people that call out their failed predictions / deceptions + coverups of crimes as "Apostates" shunning them

We do not follow any man or magazine. We follow the Bible. We test everything against Scripture. If a teaching does not harmonize with the Bible, we adjust it — that is why our understanding has been refined over the years as more light has shone. (Proverbs 4:18)Yes, we disfellowship unrepentant wrongdoers, including those who promote serious sin or try to tear down the congregation. The Bible commands this for the protection of the flock. (1 Corinthians 5:11-13; 2 John 9-11)We do the same thing the first-century congregation did when someone caused division or promoted immorality. It is not ‘shunning’ out of hatred — it is loving discipline to keep the congregation clean and to give the person opportunity to repent. As for predictions: we have had wrong expectations in the past, just as the apostles did at first. We learn and adjust. Our faith is not built on dates, but on the Kingdom of God and the ransom of Christ. The real question is: Do we teach what the Bible actually says?Jesus said: ‘The Father is greater than I.’ (John 14:28) ‘This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ.’ (John 17:3)We believe those words exactly as they are written. If you have a specific verse where you think we twist the Bible, feel free to share it and we can look at it together from the Scriptures.

@BuBdyc @MasterMaliq You've had to seen how many coverups Jehovah's Witness leadership has been exposed for. Is that something Jesus would want his followers to defend or make excuses for?
