In 2021, I pulled $20K out of a mutual fund to put into a crypto shit coin that went to 0. I then had to pay capital gains tax on the mutual fund withdrawal. Furthermore, I was audited by the IRS for the next 3 years. There is a lesson here somewhere 🧐.
