i had something really upsetting happen yesterday and i’m struggling to not let it get to me talking about it helps but i really don’t want to put anyone on blast over it TT__TT

i’ve been struggling lately with PC issues, larger models will lag the hell out of Live2D i vented in a private l2d server about how i have a deadline approaching and i was worried i wouldn’t be able to make it, so one of my mutuals who i considered a friend reached out to me to offer to finish for me so i wouldn’t have to refund $600 worth of work out of pocket which was incredibly sweet of them but when they got my rig file they went and showed it to other people and sent me a long message in ‘good intentions’ harshly criticizing my work while offering no explanation on how to improve anything, and then apparently several of them went and messaged my client to shit talk my work to her as well i have always believed the live2D community was super welcoming but this was the most humiliating experience i think ive ever been through because i am genuinely so proud of my work, and the client absolutely adores it as well, and i looked up to MANY of the people in that server i’ve struggled with severe depression and passive suicidal tendencies my entire life, very few things trigger me but having my one single passion, the thing that has kept me motivated to keep going every single day, belittled not only to my face but to my client’s face as well is genuinely really devastating to me i don’t want to put anyone on blast because sure, they say it’s out of good intentions, but nowhere did i ask for extreme criticism calling my work unacceptable nor was there any right to ‘warn’ my client who is happy with her model i’ve since left the server (which 99% of them have nothing to do with this situation, i just don’t feel welcome amongst the few who have) and cut ties with the person who messaged me but i think i need a while to convince myself that im not as shitty as they made me feel :,)

@cypurrpunk Offering to help and then essentially shit talking your work is unacceptable no matter what. That’s very disrespectful and you shouldn’t feel bad. Your client is happy with your work and you are doing your best! ╰(*´︶`*)╯♡
