Saros had a "lukewarm start" with 300,000+ sold in 2 weeks, an analytics firm estimates.
It says the game may "struggle to break even" at this rate, but notes that those who did buy it are playing it a lot.

@macatek26@VGC_News Returnal on PC barely sold 1/10th of what it did on PS5, Sony isn't gonna lose sleep because they've missed out on potential 30k~ Steam users.
You guys constantly complain and beg for games but you barely bought anything Playstation brought over.
@Python2099@macatek26@VGC_News And...as the trends of late PC ports have shown for Sony, they have all suffered from flat post launch interest. The marketing cycle came and went years ago. Helldivers 2 was a day 1 release and it did faaar better.
@lFibreOpticl@macatek26@VGC_News Helldivers 2 is also a cooperative shooter with high production values, something PC gamers are obsessed with.
Meanwhile Spider-Man 2, a game based on one of the most famous characters in fiction, sold like dogwater because "it went thru marketing hype cycle on PS5 a year ago"?
@Python2099@macatek26@VGC_News Yes.
Precisely.
It is a clear trend of missing the boat of day 1 buzz, and poor marketing for their PC ports. Given how big SM is...it's clear their strategy is shit, and they have not 1 SP game that shiped day and date. HD2, is indeed that, but SM is a bigger name.
@lFibreOpticl@Python2099@macatek26@VGC_News Stellar Blade released later on PC and sold fine though, SM in general should have persuaded a lot to buy on name brand alone, despite releasing a bit later.
