This is just further proof that Africa/Diaspora have made a conscious decision that they will present themselves to the world through a Black American lens. They’ll claim our music, fashion & vernacular as their own while also claiming we have no culture.

We absolutely popularized the big band/majorette cheer performance style Tyla is trying to mimic here, which is modeled after the band experience at HBCUs. Either way it damn sure ain’t African😭
