@ThePythonQuant On the documentary side, I love the one about Andrew Wiles and his proof of Fermat’s Last Theorem. A very humble and brilliant man

@ThePythonQuant Neither movie nor documentary, the book "The Manic" by Benjamin Labatut was a fun read

@ThePythonQuant Most movies about math or physics are terrible. The best ones tell a story first, and the math/physics is secondary. So along those lines, I think Oppenheimer, Primer and A Beautiful Mind are the top few.

"Imitation Game" was a good math movie about Alan Turing, widely regarded as the father of AI and computer science. It's one of my favourites but I disliked how it portrayed Turing as a lone genius building the decoding machine initially. As a mathematician, he lacked the engineering skills to construct it. He provided the theoretical foundation, but engineers built the machine.

@ThePythonQuant Pi (1998), Primer & The Imitation Game come to mind
