2020 in books. Maybe with a brief review. But probably not. Brace yourselves.

1. @GenevieveCogman - The Invisible Library. I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to read this series. They’re AMAZING.

2. @amateuradam - This Is Going To Hurt. I own an actual signed, dedicated copy of this (Adam Kay did a talk at the RVI aaaages ago) but I did the @audibleuk version and actually cackled like a fool in Tesco.

3. @emdanforth - The Miseducation of Cameron Post. I bloody loved this! It sort of wasn’t what I was expecting and it was all the better for it.

4. @GenevieveCogman - The Masked City. I want to be Irene. There, I’ve said it.

5. @HoJay92 - A Good Girls Guide To Murder. Jesus. That was the wildest ride of my booky life. I have ignored my partner and biology assignment alike for 5 hours straight as I NEEDED to know the end. 10 million stars, although considering removing one due to mild trauma 🐶😩

6. @naominovik - Uprooted. Do you like witches? Yes? Me too! Meet Agnieszka. (Spoiler: she’s mint)

7. Foul Is Fair - @tldaaollf This was dark, fierce and vengeful af and I am LIVING. Jade is queen. 👑 If you like contemporary twisty YA, thank me later.

8. The Five - @HallieRubenhold So, so happy this is a @Waterstones BOTM and I get to talk to people about it at work! One of the best non-fiction books I’ve read #TheFive

9. Heartstopper v.3 - @AliceOseman I truly adore these books. I am very grateful for this volume and it’s mental health content in particular ♥️ (and ofc it’s Nellie content 🐶)

10. A Court of Thorns and Roses - @SJMaas I’m on a comfort re-read. I will never not be here for Rhys and Feyre 🧚🏻🧚🏼‍♂️

11. Ninth House - @LBardugo THAT ENDING. And this insult: 👌🏽

12. Diary of a Confused Feminist - @kateelizweston I tweeted about this already but bloody hell, that was hilarious and smart and witty and everything I needed #powertothefanny

13. Adults - @emjaneunsworth As soon as I read the chapter about her mum taking her to a Mind, Body and Spirit show and forcing her to have a reading, I was very here for this book! (I still have the print out from my aura reading, thanks Mam...)

14. Gut - Giulia Enders SUCH a good book! This has just cemented my choice of bodily system for my anatomy and physiology assignment 💩👩🏽‍⚕️

15. A Court of Mist and Fury - @SJMaas Continued the re-read, will still forever be #TeamFeysand

16. A Court of Wings and Ruin - @SJMaas I don’t think I actually cried the first time I read this, but the audiobook tipped me over the edge. (That may have been the same day I cried cause there was no tuna for my sandwich...🤔)

17. Max The Miracle Dog - @maxinthelakes (Kerry Irving) An amazing book about an amazing friendship. If you like dogs, you absolutely need to read this 🐶

18. A Court of Frost and Starlight - @SJMaas I adore this. I know it’s a novella but THEY’RE ALL MOSTLY HAPPY DAMMIT
