Americans are expanding their perspective

Yeah this is a wild reaction considering what’s being reflected on that app is the working class of China. The ones that can afford cell phones. More of the privileged class. There’s a subset of the ultra poor that literally is holding up those people’s lifestyles. They work in factories and rice farms for pennies on the dollar. The government provides them free housing, food stipends, etc. but they’re essentially indentured slaves.

Just because you can afford a physical cell phone doesn’t mean they can afford data plans. Also the average cell phone in China ranges between $50-$100 USD 600 million+ Chinese people live on an average of 1000 yuan or roughly $140 USD a month. I don’t think you’re all the way informed on this tbh.
