@seggitonga @Afruturist The currency is so partly due to this neo-colonial behaviour of ours. Imagine if Kenya does all of its business dealings in Shillings, Nigeria does its own in Naira and so does others, do you think we will have weak currencies and economies?

@04_Git @Afruturist Because Nigeria's currency is one of the most unstable in the world. As a foreigner, you don't get value for money by exchanging it all at once

Nothing personal, but Nigeria is one of the countries where I found it particularly difficult to access my own money as a foreigner. During my visit, I held accounts with Absa Group, Equity Bank, and Standard Chartered. Even withdrawing a modest amount like $200 was often a challenge. I would spend several minutes waiting at ATMs, only to find that cash had run out, especially when attempting to withdraw larger amounts equivalent to $500 or more in naira. On the payments side, the situation was equally frustrating. Many local restaurants and hotels do not readily accept international debit or credit cards. On one occasion in Abuja, after dinner, we had to send someone out to exchange $200 into naira just so we could settle the bill. When he couldn’t find a bureau de change, he ended up purchasing naira informally from individuals on the street. While I acknowledge and respect the impressive growth of fintech innovation in Nigeria, these experiences point to deeper systemic challenges, particularly around cash accessibility and the usability of international payment systems for foreigners.

This is why I laugh at these new Abuja residents who lie to themselves that they have to live in "rich" neighborhoods to mix with the rich Nothing go touch you. Your surname will sell you out and they will all avoid you After one sit out, the next sit out they will ask you your father or mother is and if it does not ring a bell, na you sabi Better stop struggling to pay that Maitama or Guzape rent, gather that 15 million go buy land for airport road close to Gosa, build your 4 bedroom and start life The rich knows the rich, when they see you they will know you are not part of them

Breaking News: Nigerian billionaire Abdul Samad Rabiu’s son, Khalifa Rabiu, is set to receive approximately ₦13.2 billion ($9.6 million) as dividend from BUA Foods Plc. This follows the company’s approval of its largest dividend payout in history for the 2025 financial year, which more than doubles the previous year’s distribution. BUA Foods will distribute a total of ₦504 billion ($364 million) to shareholders. Khalifa Rabiu holds 473.6 million shares, representing a 2.63% stake in the company. His father, Abdul Samad Rabiu, who owns a commanding 92.64% stake, is expected to pocket around ₦467 billion ($337.3 million) from the payout.

@nwoye_israel @iamvshun @Joe_brendan_ The only safe way to buy land really from my experience is if you buy a house especially maybe distress with people living in it, or you get s government allocation directly in your name by the Chairman, Minister or Director in FCDA, asides that, buying land is risky.

@04_Git @Lukegmorris93 @UPSC_EDU @grok The stupidity of the average 3rd worlder. Rescue missions aren't "boots on the ground". Maybe do a bit of research into what "boots on the ground" refers to whenever youre able to make the 2 day travel to the nearest library. Incase you havent caught on...we basically killed...

This is why the 3rd world should shut the fuck up about world events. Yall are too retarded to understand simple concepts.

@honour_can_code It depends on what you refer to as vibe coding, using AI for everything? Not good. But using AI to complement your work isn't bad as we all know frontend is not as relevant as backend when scale and speed is involved. Let's see how fast it is now and when there is much traffic.

@04_Git @iamvshun @Joe_brendan_ Yes o. Gbagyi people would sell land for multiple people, when it's time to build, different owners will come out with original documents. Or you go hear say estate don buy the land. My biggest fear is that demolition💔😔

@iamvshun @Joe_brendan_ No but 20-30m can, land prices start from 5m upwards depending on the distance of the land from Airport road. The area in general is still developing but has serious prospects, speaking from personal knowledge, the only issue is ownership fraud.

Not knowing politicians or technocrats is not really a big problem for me. I mentioned every reputable scholar and Islamic preacher in Nigeria to this one, wallahi ba ta san su ba. Even among the Dariqa sect, it’ll be hard to find someone that has never heard of Sheikh Kabiru Gombe, but wallahi this girl doesn’t have any clue who he is. I mentioned Albani, Sheikh Jafar, Dr Idris, Prof Rijiyar Lemu, Daurawa, Gadon Kaya, Triump and many more, wallahi duk bata san su ba. Even Sheikh Bala Lau & Muktar Yola that are from the same state as her, she doesn’t know who they are. The scariest part is she confessed to me that ita ba ta sauraron wa’azi ba, amma tana so ta fara.

May God continue to protect ghe Ummah from the cancer of Wahhabism. Jawahirul-Ma’ani was written over 200 years ago, yet not a single Tijjaniyya follower has ever bombed a church, market, police station or barracks, claiming to draw his ideologies from it . But in less than 50 years since these poisonous books began spreading in Nigeria, thousands of innocent souls have been slaughtered in the name of Jihad and Tawhid.
