@the_sambu Honest question though, why would they ship military uniforms into Nairobi? all major attacks in Nairobi including Westgate and Dusit, the terrorists wore normal civilian clothes. what could be the reason for this.

Those guys arrested with Al-Shabaab uniforms are right now singing for the ATPU. They must be alternating solo, bass, and alto. Bold to ship al-Shabaab uniforms via Kenya. We have sympathizers right inside the capital city, but our intelligence has kept their game high!

@04_Git @Afruturist Because Nigeria's currency is one of the most unstable in the world. As a foreigner, you don't get value for money by exchanging it all at once

@Afruturist We need to change this mentality and i'm somewhat happy Nigeria is this way, why? If you cannot use a foreign currency to trade in America easily when then are we expected to accept USD? Let's normalize using every country's currency to transact in that country.

Nothing personal, but Nigeria is one of the countries where I found it particularly difficult to access my own money as a foreigner. During my visit, I held accounts with Absa Group, Equity Bank, and Standard Chartered. Even withdrawing a modest amount like $200 was often a challenge. I would spend several minutes waiting at ATMs, only to find that cash had run out, especially when attempting to withdraw larger amounts equivalent to $500 or more in naira. On the payments side, the situation was equally frustrating. Many local restaurants and hotels do not readily accept international debit or credit cards. On one occasion in Abuja, after dinner, we had to send someone out to exchange $200 into naira just so we could settle the bill. When he couldn’t find a bureau de change, he ended up purchasing naira informally from individuals on the street. While I acknowledge and respect the impressive growth of fintech innovation in Nigeria, these experiences point to deeper systemic challenges, particularly around cash accessibility and the usability of international payment systems for foreigners.

@mwairus @OmbetaC You wanted clothes to be flagged at customs? ATPU used intelligence all the way from Jubaland in Somalia to find out what they were for, you can't expect custom officers to do the same.

TERROR SUPPLY CHAIN DISRUPTED AS MULTI-AGENCY TEAM RECOVERS SUSPECTED AL-SHABAAB FATIGUES IN EASTLEIGH In a significant quantum leap against terror-linked logistics networks, a multi-agency security team has successfully recovered a vital consignment of suspected Al-Shabaab (AS) combat uniforms in an intelligence-led operation conducted in the early hours of the night within the Eastleigh KBS Garage area. The operation, spearheaded by officers from DCI Starehe and the Anti-Terrorism Police Unit (ATPU), was triggered by earlier intelligence following a critical interception in Dhobley on 6th April 2026. On that date, Jubaland Security Forces (JSF) seized twenty-five (25) bales packed with suspected Al-Shabaab full camouflage uniforms, an alarming discovery that pointed to a wider cross-border supply chain. Investigations quickly unravelled a complex network. The intercepted consignment had reportedly been destined for a suspect identified as Abdi Hakim, who remains in custody in Dhobley. Further leads traced part of the shipment to Eastleigh, Nairobi, specifically to Gaani Parcel Express, a logistics outlet along 12th Street within the bustling KBS area. Upon swift action, officers recovered eleven (11) bales, each containing sixty (60) full camouflage uniforms and one hundred and twenty (120) T-shirts. An additional bale yielded sixty-five (65) uniforms alongside one hundred and twenty (120) T-shirts. The items were discovered at Vision Point Express, a neighbouring facility, where they had been temporarily stored due to limited space at Gaani Parcel Express. Preliminary findings indicate that the manager of Gaani Parcel Express, Omar Elmi Issack, had arranged for the temporary storage of the consignment after receiving it from an individual identified as Sharif. The probe deepened further, leading investigators to Safe Link Cargo, a firm located at Soma Towers, believed to have facilitated the importation of a larger batch totalling thirty-seven (37) bales of suspected AS fatigues. The cargo is reported to have originated from China and entered the country through the Port of Mombasa under the guise of consolidated shipments. Crucially, one Abdiftah Aden Muhammed, an employee at Safe Link Cargo, has been linked to the shipment’s clearance and coordination. Investigators established connections between Abdiftah, Sharif, and another individual identified as Abdikadir, forming a critical chain in the suspected supply network. Records show the consignment was collected on 4th April 2026 by Sharif before being dispatched to Gaani Parcel Express, setting in motion the chain that has now been intercepted. All recovered items have been secured and properly documented as exhibits. Several key suspects are currently in custody under ATPU, assisting with ongoing investigations aimed at dismantling the entire network behind the operation. This operation underscores the vigilance and coordination of security agencies in detecting and disrupting threats before they manifest. Investigations remain active as authorities pursue additional leads and possible accomplices. #FichuaKwaDCI Call 0800 722 203 (toll-free) or WhatsApp 0709 570 000 to report anonymously. Usiogope!

@AdamMaina_ Ferrying cars is a great initiative by KR but they should maximize on the no. of cars carried on each wagon. Two SUVs per wagon is just about 5 tons. It's like carrying two SUVs on a 22-wheeler truck.

My theory: Kenya Railways teased parcel services last week. Now they’re showing they can transport vehicles from the port to Nairobi. The organic buzz around these videos proves they’ve nailed it — and their target audience is about to start reaching out!

@HjS123134342342 @JeffersonianHC @360Bss @Reuters Look man, I'll give an example of the bastard Hitler, he attacked countries then specifically targeted Jewish civilians with his Nazi army, the whole western world rose up for that specific reason. Civilians have nothing to do with warring factions, thats why its a war crime.

@JeffersonianHC @360Bss @seggitonga @Reuters Dawg im right on this. Punishing your own troops for things the enemy troops would never be punished for is a death sentence. If you walk in to war and is not willing to be as ruthless as your enemy, you will end up on the losing side.

@ODA_HASSAN_ @Kvaati The constitution is very clear on minerals, all of it belongs to the people of Kenya, doesn't matter where its found. Taxes are also not an assurance to development, if it were, the counties with the biggest contribution would demand to be independent from shitholes like Samburu.
