Look you old fool. Without innovation by innovators we would be Greece. All salaries made equal across the country would be $90,000 per worker. You make twice that now. Donate 1/2 your salary to the workers of the world or shut up forever. If you think everyone deserves money for nothing than give them yours.

Jeff Bezos, worth $234 billion, plans to replace 600,000 Amazon workers with robots. Now, he wants to spend $100 billion to fully automate not just his warehouses, but factories in the U.S & other countries. Oligarchs are waging all out war against workers. FIGHT BACK.

Per police incident report: McAneney was being removed from a bar by bouncers (he’d allegedly been kicked out of others through night) and tried to hold onto the building. Officer intervened, they struggled and fell backwards, and officer wrote in report that he punched McAneney twice. He received medical treatment.

An FSU spokesperson told Noles247 that PK Conor McAneney has been suspended indefinitely from all team activities. He was arrested yesterday on Ft. Lauderdale on multiple felony charges that allegedly occurred during his arrest. Details here: 247sports.com/college/florid…

He is now. Panikowski was a late signee which means he was added as the backup. The foreign kicker and punter at FSU don't move to America for less than a full ride plus $$$ so this is going to be expensive for FSU. The new Special Teams coach thought he found a cheat code by bringing grown men out of pubs in Ireland to play college football. Send this one back to the pub you found him in.

@ShamsCharania What is the salary floor? Can money losing teams just roster 11 players at $300,000 each?

The proposed solutions are so piecemeal. If a player were to follow the rules they can't solicit or receive an offer outside of the portal period. How long would a take a player to get a written offer from a rival to take to their current program and how long would the current program take to exercise their Bird Rights and inform the player? This all matters because the players do have to enroll in Spring classes at some point.

When people said that golfers needed to thank Tiger Woods for their increased earnings did you say "Fuck off racist" ? I guess if you want everything to be racist then everything is racist. Wouldn't the comment also be slanted against white WNBA players that were there before CC? Take a deep breath.

@ClayTravis When discussing the tournament on Bluesky does "they" refer to a team or a player? It would be like "Who is on First" over there.

Does The Athletic employ anyone normal? Does this company have actual fans? I know they have subscribers because they gave it away for free for a decade — it has lost hundreds of millions so far — and now it’s bundled, but, man, what an insufferable collection of woke scolds.

@jemelehill What is it about someones net worth that precludes them from wanting what is best for others. Does a lack of money make someone altruistic in your mind?

I’m not “really rich.” And you honestly think these billionaires are trying to be helpful to you? You think they care about you?
Chris Hampson@HampsonChris

@jemelehill You are a really rich person. Those other really rich people are offering what they believe is helpful advice. What is your advice to poor people? What degree should they earn that ai will not displace. Offer solutions. Or shut up.

People need to stop using the number of portal entrants without better context. Most of the athletes in the portal were either cut from their team or are deciding between playing somewhere else or quitting the sport. Those pushing for transfer restrictions want the general public to believe that limiting transfers is actually an act of compassion for these young foolish athletes that don't know any better. If they were honest and wrote about the 10,000 athletes that were given another chance to play because of the portal it doesn't ring the same.

Don’t agree with everything said in here, but some good points are made. However, it ignores the biggest issues that needs to be addressed. 1. All sports aren’t the same. 2. The model advocated for is illegal.

@jemelehill If a degree from Michigan State leaves you with this level of critical thinking you are proving the point that college is indeed a waste of time.

Notice how really rich people keep encouraging people to go into trades, but none of them would want that for their own children. There’s nothing wrong with trades, but what they’re really trying to do is create a nation of service workers and laborers. People who remain in service to them. They want a much wider wealth gap than there is now. That’s why suddenly they are so anti-college and are trying to break the university system.

@mfarrellsports As soon as the NBA invented the term gather step it jumped the shark. A team can score 130 in the NBA and lose. Uninteresting and Unwatchable.

What’s sad is that there is a whole generation that grew up thinking this is okay and is real basketball who swear their generation’s players are better. It’s pathetic.

The worst standard of living for me was 1980. The top marginal tax rate was 72%. We were poor. Things are not better when you tax the rich. Nobody buys houses or cars. Nobody eats $300 dinners. The result of high taxes is the rich pay a lot of taxes and the poor have no way of making a living. Nobody wins. Nobody.

@1985jjohnson @ClayTravis The right keeps saying they want to get back to when things were great. Things were great back when the rich were taxed at much higher rates than those who make much less. So, which do you want then?

The biggest story in America right now is the movement of super wealthy people and big corporations from high tax states like California, Illinois and New York to zero income tax states like Tennessee, Texas and Florida. And every day it becomes a bigger story.

Transfer restrictions are a hypocritical violation of an American's free will. There is no job, hobby, volunteer post, board seat, political position, student, professor/educator, administrator position in America that has a transfer policy.
Chris Murphy 🟧@ChrisMurphyCT

Tuberville: College athletes should only be able to transfer schools once. Murphy: Can we apply the same rule for coaches? Why hold athletes to a different standard? Tuberville: You got me, Chris.
