If a Muslim can stand in London, New York, or Paris and publicly preach Islam, hand out Qurans, and invite people to become Muslim... Why shouldn't a Christian be able to stand in Riyadh, Islamabad, or Kabul and publicly preach Christianity, hand out Bibles, and invite people to become Christian? If we ask others to respect our religious freedom, shouldn't we be willing to respect theirs too? Either freedom of religion is a principle. Or it's a privilege we demand for ourselves but deny to others.

@OnceFutureCh @MasterMaliq They want the whole world to adopt the same standards which is not possible cuz ppl have diff believes and diff cultural realities and since Muslim counties (most of them) interpret freedom of religion differently, they do not adopt the same idea of “freedom” as secular states

@2trueforu @MasterMaliq No offense, but it's very hard to understand what point you're even trying to make. Maybe English isn't your first language. But it seems a little like you're saying people who believe in human rights should have them used against them by Muslims?

@OnceFutureCh @MasterMaliq I said that since US and European countries believe and have stipulated domestic and international laws to adopt a certain standard of human rights for all, and increasingly promote the idea of “freedom” they are bound to abide by these laws and this freedom based believe system

@OnceFutureCh @MasterMaliq Maybe you aren’t law literate that’s why you can’t understand point and it’s astonishing how you can conclude that Muslims are using Human rights against them! If the law gives you a right and you exercise it, does that mean you’re using the law against the state? 🤨

@OnceFutureCh @MasterMaliq If you mean that you could make these countries to imitate the Muslim majority countries so I said it can’t work politically cuz these secular states developed and globally promoted the human rights standard which they are not themselves stuck with cuz of the excessive rights

@2trueforu @MasterMaliq Christian majority countries are run in a "secular" way usually, but I guess we could do things your way. I think my religion is true too. I'm a Catholic.

@OnceFutureCh @MasterMaliq But then again, I’m not debating the fact that Islam is the truth, I’m addressing the post which was written as if a great wisdom is unleashed but it’s actually a very archaic argument .. so I was responding to why the same freedoms are exercised differently in Muslim countries

@2trueforu @MasterMaliq I believe Christianity is true, but I don't think we can be 100% certain of anything in life really. Can you prove this isn't a dream? Or a computer simulation? Or a trick of some kind? Or that we just think but have no physical bodies? No. There's no way to do that.

I can’t accept logically that there is no such thing as truth ! I believe we have enough evidence to know what is the truth or try to find it

@2trueforu @MasterMaliq No, I'm saying everyone THINKS their religion is true, not that it is. Very different. If there was an 100% certain way to prove to everyone which of the many religions is true, I'd be down for a theocracy. But there isn't. So to avoid constant killing, freedom is best

@OnceFutureCh @MasterMaliq They are not bound to allow preaching other religions the same way secular states allow it .. if the secular states or Christian states truly believed that Christianity or any other religion was in fact the truth, then they too also wouldn’t allow falsehood but

@OnceFutureCh @MasterMaliq Muslim countries (the ones that implement Islam) have freedom of religion to the extend that anyone can be a follower of any religion but they do not allow other religions to be preached publicly because they believe that falsehood cannot be preached publicly.. this is why

@OnceFutureCh @MasterMaliq Human rights standard and have incorporated freedom of religion as a fundamental right, therefore these states are unable to stop Muslims from preaching (although many countries still limit their rights) because it would be against their law.. Muslim countries Do Not adopt it

@MasterMaliq @theshahofchi That’s not a principle That’s law in European countries and some secular states .. on the contrary Muslim countries do not adopt the same “principle” since Muslims believe that you can only preach the truth which is Islam .. also Muslims did not introduce freedom of religion

@theshahofchi The comparison is about religious freedom, not the cities themselves. If Muslims can openly preach Islam in Western cities, should Christians be allowed to openly preach Christianity in Muslimmajority cities too? That's the principle I'm discussing.
