To succeed in trading you have to be a little insane I started trading back in 2019 My first trade ever was $TSLA at $66 pre split I had no idea what I was doing but I liked Elon Musk I put my entire college refund check into $TSLA Fast forward a year, I saw a short report on $TSLA All I knew was a short report means institutions were betting against a company so I sold all my shares I turned a $3,000 refund check into a little over $15,000 Not bad for a 20 year old in college that grew up piss poor A couple months goes by and my gaming teammate showed me how much money he was making trading options My jaws literally dropped He told me to just follow his trades because it’s a lot to learn The next day we get into $AMD 70 calls that expired the following Friday Me not knowing any better, I full ported The following week comes and I’m down 70% I’m panicking and and blowing up his phone wondering if I should sell He said trust me bro, just hold until Friday Friday comes and sure enough he was right $AMD gaps up to $74 dollars I felt such a relief when I saw a 200% ROI At the rate my portfolio was growing, I taught I would be a millionaire before I graduated college Some might say beginners luck but that showed me success in trading was possible That very weekend I started watching option trading videos and bought every course available because I wanted to learn to do it myself This is where things took a turn for the worse My portfolio went from a steady upward trend to a boom and bust cycle until it hit $0 For 2 years straight I was just losing money But I never gave up I always told myself that no matter how much money I lose, I would make it back when I became profitable Everyone told me it wasn’t possible Everyone told me to give up Everyone told me it was gambling It felt like the world was doubting me so I used that as fuel to prove them wrong Senior year comes around and I finally did it I became a profitable trader 2 years of what some might consider failure turned into a lifetime of freedom Be delusional until it turns into your reality
