@8850JD Yes, way less soil disturbance. Have been using them for 3-4 years now. You actually change out the seed shank where the boot is bolted onto also.

Got the lights swapped over onto the new drill and even put extra on the tank to light it up more for the night shift. #AgTwitter

@Plantmore1 don’t quite remember but there’s not many settings on the sprayer one? turn size I thought was the only thing I changed, always have it on 10 turn size for 2 sprayer widths and 3 I think on fungicide, it follows the same track on headlands perfectly. Turn 10-12 mph nicely on 10

Anyone running auto turn on a deere sprayer and have good settings for it ?

@Bkitch1Bodie @JohnDeere Absolute must! We always have older cart drivers so not the best at turning around to follow speed, makes it so much less stressful dumping on the go, move wherever you want with a push of the button from the combine and come to a stop if at end of the field or have an emergency

@BDuchek @gooseneckimp @JohnDeere Yeah I did all day but wasn’t real interested in running at 1.5-2, I probably should’ve just set the losses up a bushel and let it go cause that’s about what it was when I did it manually

@8850JD @gooseneckimp @JohnDeere Isn’t that the whole point of it once you have it dialed in, to let it do its thing?

@NDfarmer81 @BaldurBarons @gooseneckimp @JohnDeere I don’t think it’s lacking in power at all, maybe compared to an 1100 but how much hp can you put into without changing much internally? Couldn’t exactly do the job we wanted unless we slowed way down.

@BDuchek @gooseneckimp @JohnDeere Didn’t run it too late, only about 8:30 which it gets dark a little before 8, cause it got tough really fast but I didn’t run the cameras when it got tough because we had the losses set pretty sensitive so it was really slowing the machine down.

Thanks to @gooseneckimp and the Mohall store for allowing us to demo the S7 900 for a day! Cool to watch the cameras do there thing to keep the machine full while monitoring losses.

@BaldurBarons @gooseneckimp @JohnDeere I think they changed some things in the feeder house and rotor, seemed to handle tough canola well and has pretty much same HP as the 1000 with same engine running at 2000 rpm

@BaldurBarons @gooseneckimp @JohnDeere I would say the tech is the biggest thing, the ability to tell it what your sample is like and it makes recommendations off that, the ground speed automation (I think that’s what it’s called) was neat to see.

@redenfarms Were you happy with going to one? We ran a 1000 for a couple days and it did about 1.5 of what the 780s did in heavy canola.

After 32 days another harvest done. Finished last night. Not the best crop but fortunate to have what we got. X9 did good replacing 2 S780 it covered a lot of acres without any down time.

@MdMcLean1 @AaronBobeck Go to setup, then data sync then you can click the machines you want to enable, may need a software update, then you can hit the enable displays yellow button on top. Can do it on your phone too, just need to go on the website not the app

ask Twitter… new machine it’s all loaded into our operations center .. where in operation center do I find the “enable data sync” button? .. been all through the machine profile and all over operations center .. where do I find that button… @AaronBobeck

@Plantmore1 @LowBoomLowDrift @graham_s_letts @BDuchek Recirc and reclaim saves a ton of time. It’ll reclaim as long as you want it to and just dump it out, then most of that chemical is gone, then rinse twice on high blow that out and away you go. With recirc it’s charged right away so no wasting.

@LowBoomLowDrift @graham_s_letts @BDuchek I use Deere rinse system, triple at high volume, spray each out boom, than remains rinse tank water out boom. I feel with recirc that may hardly be enough ? First rinse will have quit a bit of chem in it with recirc ?

Sprayers with tips at end of each section, very easy to rinse. Like a deere. Add boom recirc, how does it speed up or affect rinse procedure ?

@redenfarms I think it’s all software. Have had all kinds of problems, not being able to use A & B nozzles, auto steer wacky, nozzles saying there’s a fault but still working, did all the updates on this and still wasn’t working. Hit kill switch and rebooted now it’ll work for a while

This is Brand new sprayer with exact apply haven’t been able to run one day without losing nozzles and streaking. Shut down machine and reboot then everything comes back to normal. Anybody know what’s wrong? software issues? Anybody else have this issue?

@BBG1815 I’ll have to look, worse than usual just going by the old sprayer, yes never had any before

@8850JD Is it considerably worse than usual with wheel motors fighting eachother all day? Tire size in your calibration maybe?

Anybody got the perfect auto steer settings for John Deere 616r or similar sprayer. I can’t seem to get the death wobble out of it especially at higher speeds. Also kind of jerky coming out of corners but I got it better.

@ZilinskiFarms I don’t know what they were at before but I just changed it to what @Hawk5646 had in his reply and seems to work better now

@8850JD What are yours at? I did first spraying yesterday and same thing death wobble. It’s supposed to be all updated..
