BREAKING: A growing number of farmer groups are calling on governments to exempt them from the carbon tax.
The latest to join the list is the Chicken Farmers of Quebec.
Someone explain to me what @JohnDeere would get to out of paying YouTuber’s to make videos on their new tractors. I’m trying to learn about them and it’s annoying having to watch a video from someone that doesn’t know what they’re talking about it. No one cars what they think
@justushickey@LowBoomLowDrift@JohnDeere That’s actually proving my point, they didn’t need to pay a bunch of money to get some YouTubers to promote their product, I would’ve been talking about the tractor anyways. I will guarantee you they would sell the same amount of tractors without the YouTubers is my point
@LowBoomLowDrift@dsolson100@JohnDeere Dave's tweet drawing another 12k people's attention to Deeres "influencer" videos (at the time of writing this) is an irony that you gotta love to see.
@LowBoomLowDrift@JohnDeere Absolutely it is, but that is also you knowing your product and what you are talking about. I would much prefer one of Deere’s people going over their machine and the talking points. Maybe I’m just getting old and crotchety haha
@dsolson100@JohnDeere I will say without a doubt. The stuff I am doing on YouTube and X have sold us a lot of machines. It’s a powerful tool if used correctly.
@justushickey@Winterquistboys@JohnDeere You obviously have know idea how many tractors they sell if you think they need to reach a audience of 500 million either, who cares if they get a million tweets about it if it doesn’t equal more sales or money what good are they? Everyone already knows the Deere brand
@dsolson100@Winterquistboys@JohnDeere Imagine being tasked with notifying half a billion people that there's a new product hitting the market without social media.
@justushickey@Winterquistboys@JohnDeere Who said anything about out not using social media? The Deere X account has 230k followers a 15 minutes video done by their own SM team would have resulted in the same or more attention. The only mentions I’ve seen of it are from people at the commodity classic.
@bigmothufacking@dsolson100@JohnDeere Right? We're ready to see decent crops again. 6 years of pathetic crops hurts. This farming thing isn't for the light of heart.
@zalinsky_p@JohnDeere Why would they run a tv commercial? 15 min video form their own social media team would do the same thing, and probably be a lot better at covering the talking points
@dsolson100@JohnDeere Cheapest and most watched advertising. Probably costs $2 million for corporate to produce run a tv commercial when u tube streamers already do it all on their own dime and already have viewers.
@Neve1De@JohnDeere Compared to their own social media team that they’re already paying to just make a video about it, I know advertising isn’t cheap so why spend more on something with no return. Their branding is already top notch. Just a customers point of view
@dsolson100@JohnDeere As compared to what? Sponsoring big events? TV and radio commercials? Magazine advertising? Billboards? Advertising is very very expensive.
@Winterquistboys@JohnDeere Who cares if you reach millions of people though if it’s not your customers is my thought, and I’m betting it cost them a lot more than just plane tickets too. Just seams dumb to me, I’d rather just have a good video from Deere going over the new tractor
@dsolson100@JohnDeere Actually lots of people care. Look at the following they have. For the price of 6 plane tickets they get millions of views. They aren’t expecting these people to but them it’s just branding, and it works.
@dsolson100@JohnDeere “Paying” the YouTube guys is very very cheap compared to normal marketing. Wouldn’t be surprised if they are paid anything, just inkind money I’d suspect.
