I asked a question on tonight's Hot Mic episode to Jeff Sneider and he said he believes Universal will likely announce Jurassic 8 at CinemaCon. He then reiterated that Gareth Edwards will be returning as director.

@Terrordome3K I hope it’s something the director believes in can get behind. I don’t think they should really worry about fan discourse, majority of the fans have wildly different and contradictory expectations

A hard pill for some Jurassic fans to swallow: the filmmakers for JP8 are likely not concerned whether it’s a mainland plot or on an island, as long as the hook for the plot is compelling to the biggest audience possible.

Rumor from @DanielRPK is that Jurassic 8 is filming in the fall and Scarlett Johansson is returning. Hopefully we at least get an official announcement and a release date soon.

I've been thinking this, Roman fans remind me a lot of Drake fans They don't care about the quality of the product as long as THEIR guy is on top. Roman could never show up after Mania, but if he's champ, they're happy, because it validates their love for him for some reason

@Terrordome3K I don’t know if this helps the case, there’s more light green from the top of the neck to the hips and you said JP3 they copied this pattern to the other side but TLW both sides are different. I don’t understand if its same one why they would make changes at all even if minimal.

@Terrordome3K True but fiercely territorial could be for the specific animal rather than species as a whole? Like Lions don’t share territory with other Lions (I’m genuinely not fussed if it is the buck killed by the Spino, just enjoy the Jurassic needing out)

@Ravigovindabhat Like the trailer version looks flat as hell the in movie is superior in every aspect, model details, the specular lighting, roughness details, sheen, compositing. It’s anything but rushed it’s the best looking Rex put to screen possibly ever.

I understand indie movies don’t have super high budgets and don’t always have access to the best effects, but… How do you make something that looks only SLIGHTLY better than most Asylum movies? And for a $7 MILLION budget?! This should NOT look this actually awful😭

The news people in Jurassic World Rebirth referring to an Apatosaurus as both a Brachiosaurus and brontosaurus really goes to show how in universe people stopped caring.

Jurassic Park 8 is going to be the first time a Jurassic sequel has fully entered new territory, at least in terms of boiled down plot foundation. Here’s why I think this: From what we know, the very early plans for JP3 revolved around a mainland plot, but as we all know that didn’t happen in the end; had it gone that direction we would have had this structure boiled down… - JP: plot involving a park on an island - TLW: plot involving protecting the dinosaurs, ending with mainland tease - JP3: mainland plot And had JP4 gone the route of human dinosaur hybrids/genetic abnormalities/hybrids we’d have had a freaky 4th movie involving crazier ideas. But that didn’t happen…yet. Now how things actually played out when the franchise was rebooted in 2015, we in fact got a quasi-redo of this originally planned structure, which took old ideas (including the JP4 Sayles script) and adapted it to make sequels to the original 3 movies; whilst sticking to the same foundations. Even going so far as to ‘reimagine’ a 4th ‘freaky’ movie. - JW: plot involving a park on an island - JWFK: plot involving protecting the dinosaurs, ending with mainland tease - JWD: Mainland plot - JWR: Island of mutated freaks Now this is why I think JP8 is truly going into unknown territory for the first time. Obviously it’s likely to retread, adapting/homaging the other films and probably utilising left over ideas from the novels/old scripts; but I thought it was worth noting how we’re finally going into uncharted waters. I know where I’d take it next but it is very exciting for this old fan when viewing the current 7 films in this light.

Seems Universal has stepped in and removed the fake domain from redirecting to the official site. It is a shame this was ran and pushed by some as being an official thing without taking the time to look at where it was registered and see it was fake. That does more harm than good

Jurassic World: Rebirth. I've watched this clip numerous times now. Bad for a number of reasons... The sleeping Spino decides to wander into the shallows to attack from behind somehow anticipating the human will move back behind the large content crate...
