This is powerful. These are the kind of conversations we need, people with skin in the game. This man says his grandfather & uncles were fighting in 1967 & 1973. They would have been fighting my own father & uncles. I listen to this stranger speak and just want to hug him.

🚨BREAKING🚨 This may be the SINGLE BEST MOMENT on Spaces ever by @malasqalani a Muslim from Cairo on the Gaza/Israel war hosted by @nelsonepega tonight.

@TONE1923 @ZackPolanski I think he does that constantly. Daily even. But for some reason can't seem to condemn antisemitism without using the word genocide. Probably because people like you would turn your back on him if he did.

@AdamDaRat @ZackPolanski How about calling out Israel committing war crimes, ethnic cleansing and genocide. Backed by western politicians and governments using our taxes? Thoughts?

Zac ran one of the most racist campaigns - at that time - this country has ever seen. Hate against both Jewish and Muslim people is on the rise - and we work best when we stand in solidarity with each other. Both Antisemitism and Islamophobia are both unacceptable.
Zac Goldsmith@ZacGoldsmith

Zack Polanski’s ‘Green’ Party is one of the greatest threats to Jewish people in the UK. He has offered up his Jewishness as a tool for mass laundering of antisemitism. He’s done so not because he is antisemitic, but because he is an opportunist and is tapping into a large and growing market

@ZackPolanski Ni Zack, calling out antisemitism should be completely unconditional. But you know if you did that you would lose followers and momentum.

It's only difficult for some of the press and some politicians. The public get it. And see right through your tactics. Antisemitism is unacceptable. Genocide is unacceptable. Calling both of these things out is both completely compatible. And shouldn't be exclusive, either.

@hilarywilce The thing is it isn't. The "for fun" accusation ignores Hamas strategy of operating within civilian areas, encouraging the "martyrdom" of children, and creating a battleground that is guaranteed to bring about about the death of innocent people. Why is this not also condemned?

@arobin0888 @MichaelRosenYes I don't think i've defended any of those things, but funny you mention Yemen as thats where my Dad and his family fled from in 1948 when the pogroms started. But I guess mentioning that is a "distraction"

@AdamDaRat @MichaelRosenYes You're defending apartheid, ethnic cleansing, genocide and racial heirarchy because it's a Jewish state that's doing it. You want to complain about the lack of Jews living in Yemen? Go ahead but it's nothing but a distraction from what was actually being talked about.

@jvgraz @MichaelRosenYes It's definitely a racist policy. Now do the surrounding 22 Arab States, Italy, Poland, Hungary, Greece, Armenia, Japan, South Korea, China, India, Pakistan, Turkey

@gvuckovic @MichaelRosenYes ...for 25 years, i can steelman both sides of the Israel/Palestine argument and I have reached my own conclusions. By no means am I blind to Israeli atrocities but I also will not pretend they are the only ones guilty of such. I highly recommended the YT link I shared. ☮️

@gvuckovic @MichaelRosenYes Ah yes, the guy who one week after the mass slaughter of 1400 Jews wrote a fluff piece about Hamas. I should definitely listen to him. Look man, appreciate you have kept things civil but we are probably both wasting our time here. I have been pursuing knowledge on this now...

@AdamDaRat @MichaelRosenYes The document above is a primary source that Pappe refers to. Would you prefer me quoting Moshe Dayan's speech from Ro'i Rothberg's funeral?

@imelda_mairead @MichaelRosenYes I hope not. You can blame the British and French and Sykes-Picot for a lot of the current mess. Given the worldwide history of antisemitism that saw a 3rd of the Jewish population erased, letting them keep their tiny piece of land & leaving them the fuck alone seems reasonable

@gvuckovic @MichaelRosenYes I've read Pappe and find him to be disingenuous. Take this excert from his History Of Modern Palestine. He actually admits in the intro to disregarding facts to promote a bias. Righteous Victims by Benny Morris is as close to an unbiased & comprehensive history of the land imo

@gvuckovic @MichaelRosenYes It started well before 1947. Go and learn why the Haganah was formed in the first instance. Deir Yassin is indefensible but to pretend that's where it started is historically illiterate. If you want an unbiased history that pulls no punches try youtu.be/hdYZtRQ_eeo?si…

@gvuckovic @MichaelRosenYes What exactly do you think happened in 1948? Are we going to ignore who declared war on who? Are we going to pretend that the descendants of those that did not participate in the war don't still live in the land, with equal rights? Are we revising history to suit your agenda?

@AdamDaRat @MichaelRosenYes So if Israel would accept the descendants of the people it illegally ethnically cleansed in 1948 and stole their property, it will stop being a majority state of the ethnic group that has done the enthnic cleansing and theft. Did I get this part right?

@arobin0888 @MichaelRosenYes I'm saying lets not have double standards here. The context of Jewish expulsion from Arab lands is important yet ignored. & no one is trying to relitigate other haitorical population transfers eg India/Pakistan. Yet when it comes to this one tiny state, people are OBSESSED. Why?

@AdamDaRat @MichaelRosenYes so you're saying israel's desire to be a "Jewish state" means they should be allowed to deny non-Jews a home in lands they lived in because they can just go live in a completely different "Arab" state?

@MichaelRosenYes Instead they have kept them in tents as "refugees". If Israel were to now accept those "refugees", it would cease to exist as a Jewish State. Given there are 22 Arab States with less than 15k Jews between them & 1 Jewish State which has 2 million Arabs, their policy seems fair.

@MichaelRosenYes A Country is free to set its own immigration policies and Israel, as the world's only Jewish state, has made the rule that any Jew can "return". There are 22 Arab league countries that could have absorbed the refugees from the war they started in 1948. (1)

@bergs23g @Narcomania @Pipolinna The ones who previously fought and made peace such as Jordan and Egypt (who had the entire Sinai returned) have no problems with Israel since doing so. The ones who refuse to accept its existence and continue to attempt to destroy it end up enduring unspeakable levels of horror.

@bergs23g @Narcomania @Pipolinna If you really want to drill down into the root of the problem, its about Jew Hate. The Arabs of the region fought first against immigration to British Mandate Palestine, then against the fledgling Jewish State after it's legal recognition, and some ever since. 1/2

These attacks on Jews are hybrid warfare in revenge for Israel's mass killing in Gaza and Lebanon. In the next year or so there will likely be major terrorist attacks, on countries aligned with Israel. Why pretend it's some kind of random racism? telegraph.co.uk/news/2026/04/2…
