So you agree the casting choice was used to manipulate certain audiences to watch the movie so they could be met with the REAL storyline ? I don’t have to know the storyline of Wicked to understand what the images in this movie poster are conveying.

My main point is to say that schizophrenia is not an incurable brain disease/disorder, as it has been portrayed. Thousands and thousands of us have healed and we lead very productive lives. We don’t take psych drugs either. I also like to cover other related topics, some things that I had witnessed while on the psych ward. It isn’t pleasant stuff, but I saw it happening. It seems to rub people the wrong way when I criticize the MH system. The system is flawed. Those flaws hurt or even kill people. If a parent purchased a toy and that toy caused the death of their child, there’d be outrage. So, if the MH system is flawed and causing harm and death, there should be outrage there, too. Why are people being verbally abused, silenced and discredited for trying to better the system?

@304_850 @TraceyHiggins92 @stefkaufman I agree that for most emotional disorders meds are often more useful as a stabilizer to work through things so that you no longer need them rather than using them to avoid the root issue. But I don’t understand how therapy can alleviate things like hallucinations etc?

@AddyMadison @TraceyHiggins92 @stefkaufman My opinion, but when you use synthetic drugs to heal your mind your mind never learns to heal itself. Everyone goes through trials, life is hard. Therapy or simply realizing things will change can help. Throwing drugs at the problem from my experience can make things worse.

Sometimes when I have a customer service need in GA or NC and I call like the doctor’s office or something, I slightly play up my southern accent. Works every time! Something about it disarms them & I get them to say yes when they said no at first, idk😂

we purposefully chose a neighborhood with no HOA and for the first time i got a letter in my mailbox from a "concerned neighbor" because we had a mattress on the curb (that the city picked up that day) and we had a tricycle out next to our mailbox 😵‍💫
