Twitter will NEVER be Instagram or TikTok I spent a lot of time the last 12 months trying to optimize video content for X & it was the most inconsistent and frustrating experience ever If your core audience doesn’t like the video, it’s dead If you screw up your copy, no second chances You can even do everything right, hit all the metrics, and the video still flops It’s much more about “gaming the algorithm” vs making good videos I’ve been on Instagram and tiktok for 3 months and it’s unbelievable how much better the algorithm is You make a good video that checks off their metrics and they’ll pump tf out of it Twitter is a written algorithm FIRST, everything else second And maybe that’s a good thing Once I realized that and stopped trying to force only video content, my life has been so much easier
