@madebycharlie_ question 3 is underrated. as a parent creator with limited hours, i ask this constantly. if someone else can do it, it goes into a system. my best work happens when i only touch the things that need me.

The 3 questions I ask before saying yes to anything: 1. Does this move my one core project forward? 2. Will I regret missing it in 6 months? 3. Is the opportunity cost lower than my current focus? Two "no"s = automatic no. Saying no to 95% of things is how the 5% becomes exceptional.

Let's not make this harder than it really is: Automate it. If you can't automate it, delegate it. If you can't delegate it, simplify it. If you can't simplify it, delete it. That's the entire systems playbook.

@jayclouse Felt this. The moment a tool adds friction to your workflow, you stop using it. Best tools disappear into the background. That's why I keep coming back to Notion — it bends to however I need to work.

My OpenClaw usage dropped like a rock when my choices became 1.) paying for the Anthropic API or 2.) using a different model. API was more expensive than expected (i.e. cost-to-value isn’t worth it for a lot of what I’m doing). Different models routinely disappoint. Business hasn’t changed. A lot of fake work and fun novelty was happening in my case and I suspect in a lot of others’ too.

What a year of showing up actually looks like. Write one sentence. Make one sales call. Do one pushup. It doesn't have to be something big—it just has to be something. One is infinitely more than zero.

this is the trap for creators too. you get good at making videos, you start getting views, you get busy fulfilling, and you stop planning. i broke this cycle by batching my entire month in 90 minutes. if the system doesn't run without you thinking, it stops the moment you get busy.

The freelance trap most people miss: You get good at editing. You get clients. You get busy. You stop posting content. You stop doing outreach. You stop following up on leads. Then a client leaves. And you are back to zero visibility. Starting the search all over again. The freelancers who break this cycle treat marketing as non negotiable even when fully booked. Especially when fully booked. Because the content you post today fills the calendar 90 days from now. Never stop marketing.
