Commando comics were great. A generation grew up thinking the German language consisted entirely of 'schnell!', 'nein' and "gott un himmel!'"

@OdohertyI64991 I loved them. My older brothers collected them, they were already well-leaved through when I got them. I loved them. They were exciting. They portrayed well the bravery of the British & allied forces in the war. I can't imagine they'd be allowed to be sold today.

@paulburton73 Brilliant as the jovial undertaker with an eye for the ladies in Corrie but I always remember him as the as the mortuary attendant 'Smiler' in the one of my favourite films the scary but, absolutely bonkers, 'Blood Beast Terror' (1968).

Remembering the great Roy Hudd who left us to advise God on his comedy timing on this date six years ago. I have happy memories of working with him back in 2013.
