@ArchieDuke14

Massive film fan - most genres except pornography and anything with Julia Roberts and Richard Gere. Classic TV only, no "Reality" and no "Celeb" garbage.

@TheCinesthetic Can’t wait for the fifth element remake where the fifth element is a non binary, trans African with queer tendencies.

@WolfsKumite "I'm being beaten up by a guy called Rupert?"😆 Lockout was lots of fun - fast-moving with snappy dialogue and great effects - didn't seem to make a helluva lot of sense but then I really don't think that was the object of the exercise!👍

@ArchieDuke14 @AlexTran677026 Same - because I prefer his elder, more serious Watson after Holmes “died”…. Jeremy & Edward were very close, and I think you could see that on screen

Love Classical Music and Movies 🎺🎻💖🎥🎬
David Burke has passed away this week at the age of 92. He played Dr. Watson opposite Jeremy Brett in the first two series of The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, bringing intelligence and warmth to the role. For many, he was the perfect partner in the most faithful Holmes adaptations. My favorite movie when I was a child.

@AlexTran677026 I loved Burke’s puppy dog Watson…..not quite as much as Edward Hardwicke’s older, sadder Watson, but he was brilliant The Red-Headed League is one of best episodes, and I love this moment so much 😂

I saw this described recently as the best TV movie ever made, so naturally I wanted to check it out. Whether it's the best is highly debatable, but it really is very good indeed.

@SkinTrader2 Yes, I saw this on VHS way back when and enjoyed it very much - Gould and Kidman were excellent - a very clever little tale indeed.👍

"Not very British!" The tone deaf response to the anger of working British people at this disastrous govt's failures tells us everything about their attitude - be quiet, don't complain, pay tax, suffer in silence. They line their pockets, act superior, and insult us. Shameful.

@RachelD1892 The Labour Cabinet should come out of Westminster more often to see how the real people think and react.

@silverlock Have all three of those Blu Rays and they're totally worth it, Absolutely one of the best shows of the era and still holds up well together due to the strong cast and writing, especially the two movies written by Richard Matheson.

Kolchak: the night stalker is a classic. I actually watched it when it was first on the air (sort of). My Dad watched it and I would hide behind his chair on the scary parts. We lived deep in the woods down a long dirt road, so it was easy to let my imagination run wild.

@silverlock Wonderful - although I think most preferred Stalker I really enjoyed Strangler - especially the scenes with Kolchak at loggerheads with his long-suffering boss Vincenzo.
