very sad about how the network of archivists, public historians, etc. has essentially died #onhere since elon musk took over. my people are just...gone. i don't see much discussion or collaboration happening anymore. i'm just so, so sad about this.

A record is the tangible residue of an action. An archive is an integrated congregation of the evidence of interrelated actions.

Today, I am encouraged by the growing number of archivists who are exploring new ways of interrogating archives, searching for meaning and value, deliberating about justice, and focusing on the human relational attributes of archival work.
