@Altermerea Honestly I just borrow the language transphobic detransitioners use to describe their transition. We basically deal with a similar but vastly worse situation than FtMtFs.

I can explain most of the green on this poll:

Lot of interesting nuggets here, but it's mildly amusing that trans people are not the group with the most positive views on trans people.

@avpdstillinlove @RAPEALLPUPPIES actually she's my girlfriend and yes I did
English

#1 i love the phrasing that means that this exclusively applies to transwomen. of course going through the wrong natal puberty as a transman would never be comparable to what transwomen go through
Maya shagasse@tranny_aigri
We said male puberty as a trans woman feels like rape and they said puberty is rape hmm surely those are the same things
English

@tobimisa1 i think i'm starting to see your overall points and i do broadly agree; we simply just have different focuses and priorities. people are too concerned with these explosive individuals that they get bogged down and forget to see the bigger picture of these women's sufferings
English

@Ari_Halberd and I think it's worth pointing out that it Isn't a situation of trans women vs trans men. I saw plenty of trans men engaging with that exact behavior (minimizing rape and sexual abuse). as well as a few cis people skulking around (as they often do).
English

self proclaimed "problematic freak" queer pushing 30yo trying to shame literally anyone else by going "ewwww you're being weirrdddd you're so fucking weirddddd be normalllll"
Wren 🦇❓@Sasspiria
I don't think anyone's saying you're not allowed to be traumatized i just think its weird to call it rape. It's so fucking weird.
English

@tobimisa1 ...(when they're, once again, disproportionately victims themselves) or whatever other flimsy nonsense to justify their transmisogynistic crusade, giving actors with less-than-good intentions to lash out and fuel the fire
English

@tobimisa1 this is what a good faith onlooker would get out of their messaging. but instead because the whole world is built to choke out their voices, everyone -- including other trans people -- salivates at the mouth to smear them as downplaying rape or punching down on victims...
English

@tobimisa1 people need to have it hammered into their heads that not everything is about them and they can just scroll past without escalating things into a shitstorm actually
English

@tobimisa1 they spoke of their own experiences as victims themselves and never dragged anyone else into it or made any implications about other victims' experience, until *certain victims* felt the need to jump in and declare the former's epistemological illegitimacy
English

@tobimisa1 and that this platform is character limited and typing out entire phrases every time is unnecessary when those with good faith who aren't motivated to interpret women's words and intentions in the worst possible light can easily wager what they meant by "puberty" and "rape"?
English

@tobimisa1 have you considered that they are demonstrably speaking *within the context of them being trans women and having gone through natal male puberty* and not dispassionately measuring the effects of puberties in a vacuum?
