Resting on the laurels of previous generations has become a cancer in Canada. Just my opinion, but I think aversion to risk has driven everything from the Canadian economy to politics to daily life. I don't know how to fix it because it drives how the East votes, and the solution is removing the safety rails. But that's a political solution, and what is politics if not an avatar of a population?

Having a great time actually. I’ve dueled four of my friends. Hasn’t been super fair because I’m in my endgame build and they’re still working on it. But it is completely different to PvE. There isn’t much standing and banging and it’s all a mind game. 10/10 I don’t know if I’m wishing over ambitiously but a tarkov/dark zone game mode would be awesome. Same with a MOBA.

Since we sneakily introduced Duels in Patch 1, it'd be interesting to know how everyone here feels about them! Having fun testing your builds against your buddies? Also, since we'll be looking into our Arena PVP Mode, it'd be great to know what 3d fighting games people are in love with. And I don't mean 2.5d fighters, but things like Power Stone 1&2, etc. Goal is to create a new breed of 3d fighting game playstyle that combines skill based combat with fully interactive arenas. The latter is going to be quite the game changer I think.

But it is an aviation problem. Swerving all but guarantees you strike a wing. Honestly my friend, I think this is all academic for you. I am an airline pilot by trade. I have operated in and out of LaGuardia, which is one of my least favourite airports on the planet. By the time you see the truck on the runway, there just isn’t enough time to swerve hard enough to avoid the wing strike. Yes, you’re moving pedals, and that does give you some control. There should also be a tiller, but admittedly I’ve never flown an RJ. A hard movement on the nose wheel may well guarantee a skid, too. I can find videos of airplanes turning into position on the runway and using too much tiller and skidding for you. I think this is as far as I want to go with this now. I just want to say that whatever the prelim shows, in my estimation, with the knowledge I have now, the pilots did about as good a job as anyone could have expected from them. I can go into more granular detail for you, but I want to shy away from judgment.

This isn’t an aviation problem. It’s a philosophical problem. These pilots have to assume in a crash that all parties die. So assuming that; is it better to swerve your plane away from the firetruck, possibly killing your entire plane or do you continue forward crashing into the truck, possibly killing your entire plane and all the firefighters? The correct answer and the heroic answer would be to swerve, at least guaranteeing some live.

ABSOLUTE HEROES. Pilot Antoine Forest and First Officer Mackenzie Gunther tragically lost their lives in Sunday’s horrific LaGuardia crash, but they made the ultimate sacrifice and saved EVERY SINGLE passenger on board. Their Air Canada flight collided with a firetruck, but because of their incredible bravery, everyone else walked away. Survivor Rebecca Liquori said it best: she is “forever indebted” to them. God bless these two heroes and their families. This is what true bravery looks like! 🙏

Yeah, I’m not saying they need to do a drift, I mean a couple degree change of direction to the left and they miss the truck. They didn’t even try. They instead crashed their plane directly into firefighters. They are lucky the entire plane didn’t explode to begin with. Again, nothing the pilots did was heroic.
