I started understanding what was happening in about 2014 to 2015. I got laid off from my job and started driving for Uber in a big blue City, and I just started to... slowly notice... who had good jobs and who didn't. Lots of women and browns that were obviously stupid and incompetent. And then I matched with my old coworker on Bumble and found out what she was doing compared to my Uber career and it was the last piece of the puzzle that made it all makes sense.
