The SEC and CFTC just published formal classification guidelines for crypto assets.
16 assets classified as digital commodities, NOT securities.
BTC, ETH, SOL, AVAX, ADA, XRP, DOT, LINK, UNI, AAVE all included.
Digital commodities are defined as assets that derive value from programmatic operation of a functional system, not from managerial efforts.
This clarity changes everything for projects launching in 2026.
If your token generates passive yield, conveys rights to future income, or depends on a team's ongoing efforts, it's likely a digital security.

I've spent a few hundred hours controlling tankers as a tanker controller on the E-3. I am very confused by the large number of events that could lead to a KC-135 tail strike and the crash of one of these two aircraft.
I've controlled tankers in massively dense airspace without a hitch.
As far as I can tell, this was perhaps a potential head-on collision, but how in the world... a lot of mistakes have to happen to get to that point.
I'll be interested to know what we find out and nobody is talking in the Air Battle Management community.
