I'm actually okay with Hawaii's ban. Seems like the riskiest place to put a nuclear plant of any US state. With cyclones, volcanoes, tsunamis, Stitch, and Jason Momoa it seems unsafe.
The other bans are dumb though.
Note: in the 1980s, a young friend of mine attended Berkeley High School. The school declared itself a "nuclear free zone" which my friend (emphatically NOT a right winger) thought was the stupidest thing he'd ever heard of.

@SandyofCthulhu Hawaii's actually pretty safe from hurricanes relative to the east coast and gulf. Tsunamis are an issue, though. (They tend to get bad ones from big quakes in the Aleutians.)
