@pntrack That happened in Kansas, too, fastest boy and girl in 5A both were injured prior to regionals and unable to compete at regionals/state. Always tough to see.

Track and Field is the greatest sport in the world, and, the cruelest. Tyler Colwell entered last years finals with the IL #1, 10.48, and false started. Joshua Duncan entered this year's state meet with IL #1, 10.31, and pulled a hamstring. Love this picture.

I’m continually amazed and proud of what high school track coaches get out of their athletes in such a short season. Y’all are the foundation of our sport! No specific preseason in most states. Winter sports season overlapping. Summer reserved for fall sports. Yet you overcome!
