After some memorable trips this year within the WP, my list had improved by 22 species.
However, lumping has cost 8 species, which started with White-br Cormorant, then Afr Crimson-winged Finch.
Today, it gained pace with another 6 losses.
800 for WP on hold for a while yet.

Here's a stat for you, today's Yellow Warbler was my 4th American Warbler in around 26th months.
I went over a quarter of a century without a tick ✅️ between the Common Yellowthroat & Blackburnian Warbler.
What a shame i didn't stay in Wales after the Magnolia twitch ! ...

@BUBOListing I’ve started a new job and am going to start lunch hour birding the local reserve but it doesn’t exist on BUBO for me to keep lists. Is there a way for it to get added?

@GarryBagnell @Mike_Crawley @jtbirder323 @CleyBirds How do you define the keenest lister? There are some very keen lower listers. Britain and Ireland can show first for anyone who wants that, including Steve. That seems the fairest option overall

My book listed the Top 10 twitchers in November 2022. I calculate that @CleyBirds has since added 10 new birds to his life list (Booted Eagle would need to move from Cat D to A) since then. Steve becomes the first person to hit the magical 600 bird species for Britain & Ireland.

@GarryBagnell @Mike_Crawley @jtbirder323 @CleyBirds When you log in you see whatever you have chosen. If you haven't chosen anything then the most popular list for your country is shown by default. You can change yours to Britain and Ireland if you prefer that (as anyone can)

It appears Mark Sutton is the highest lister but in the British and Irish ranking he’s about 22.
So to get Steve interested can you make British & Irish the first table you see?
If not, I doubt he will join.

All the top listers do Britain and Ireland. It should be more prominent than the British List, which top listers don’t care about.

@BUBOListing @jtbirder323 @GarryBagnell @CleyBirds British life list is the first thing I see on logging into BUBO Listing. Seems fairly prominent, in my humble opinion. I'm assuming that my BUBO home page features BOU listers because that’s my choice of listing criteria.

Our top lister @CleyBirds told me in 2022 that he would add his list if Britain and Ireland was shown in a more prominent place, opposed to be hidden away. Try reaching out to him.
Once he’s on, others would follow.

OK, the people have spoken. The Latest Update panel on the main BUBO site will now only show bird photos. (You can still manage your Pan Species List via either bubo.org or panspecieslisting.com though).

Quick question for BUBO listers who are JUST bird-listers. Now we've got the separate PSL site at panspecieslisting.com, we're wondering whether to hide non-birds from the Latest Update panel (with associated photos) on the main BUBO site. Whaddya think?
