Hampshire College costs $77,752 per year to attend, or $311,008 for a 4-year bachelor's degree. That includes tuition, housing, dining and miscellaneous fees. In the current economy, it would be almost impossible for any student paying this to generate a positive return on investment. In a few years, many small liberal arts colleges like Hampshire will close their doors forever.

@TheStalwart Most private liberal arts colleges need to die. There is absolutely no reasons someone should have to take on $160,000 in debt for an English degree when they can get the same degree for a fraction of the cost at a superior flagship state school

The Miami Heat are signing two-way guard Jahmir Young to a new two-year deal, agent Scott Nichols tells ESPN. Young fills the Heat's open spot created by waiving Terry Rozier.

Adam Silver is reportedly "enthusiastic" about a new lottery reform proposal that would give the bottom three teams worse odds than teams ranked 4-10, per @KevinOConnor (h/t @TheNBABase)

FWIW ladies in journalism and to the future girls who aspire to be us: You don’t have to sleep w athletes or coaches to get a story. You don’t have to hold hands and flirt poolside in a bikini. You simply have to show up prepared, ask smart questions, be consistent and do your job well. That also means doing it with integrity. To the ones that aren’t thanks for setting us women back 100 years. How about some female journalistic integrity ?! Because one of us represents all of us. #BeBetter

“It only took a few weeks before I was hiding in the kitchen pantry to put my bets in, so my kids didn’t see how much I was gambling”: @TheAtlantic gave @mckaycoppins $10,000 as part of his investigation into online sports gambling — and he came out with far less money and some insight into how gamblers get hooked on apps like FanDuel and DraftKings.

Is Wes Moore super cool? He happens of Photographers, social media experts, and other paid positions to make him look cool while our state is floundering.
