@UniateAnimal @5Solas2 It's funny, you've answered zero questions and then the one you answered was with another question. Good day cultist. I hope you gain a relationship with Jesus.

@UniateAnimal @5Solas2 And walking in chains is denying yourself? Because this video seems like indulging yourself in theatrics. Do catholics actually understand the Bible? Taking up your cross means surrendering to God fully, not whatever this nonsense is.

I am a convert from protestantism, I know what your theology is and I know the bible passages that you might cite to defend them. As it turns out, theology is far deeper than a proof text. I did explain what redemptive suffering was to a good faith person in another comment, but for you I would say that you will just have to take my word for it that I wouldn't be surprised. At the end of the day, you could challenge me to open the bible, but I could challenge you to defend your cannon, ask where you got your canonical list of bibles, how you know the names of the NT authors, or why you would accept an anonymous book like Hebrews as scripture. That's a foundational issue that a person should be able to consistently defend before trying to use scripture to challenge another person's theology.

I'm pointing out the nonsense in your belief and that the work on the cross is the only act that was needed. Your performance is an act Jesus explicitly said not to do. We do not need sackcloth or ashes, but to come boldly to the Throne of Grace for forgiveness. Not come to a priest, not wear nonsense and perform, just talk to God through Jesus. You bring up Nineveh, which was before the Messiah arrived. They needed animal sacrifices and other burnt offerings. We do not, and the fact that you do not know or understand it shows how poor of a job your "church" does of teaching you the Bible. Go open it and read, you'll be surprised.

You are looking into people's hearts now. Think back to the old testament, events like Yom Kippur with communal fasting and prayer. Think of Nineveh where every man woman and child wore sackcloth and ashes in penance. It's not automatically performative because it's not 100% internalized, that kind of thinking is gnostic. There are outward expressions of penance, and since we belong to the New Davidic Kingdom we also participate in our liturgical calendar communally. Try to look at things through a different lens rather than just a 21st century, American evangelical one.

@viktoornath @sola_chad Catholic processions were historically a way to “make the invisible visible.” In times when most people couldn’t read, the Catholic Church used public rituals—images, movement, music—to teach the faith, reinforce doctrine, and unite communities around shared beliefs.

@sola_chad I am like a child who broke a window. My father forgave me, and paid for the entire cost of the window being replaced- a debt I couldn't pay. Because I love Him, I help sweep up the glass.

You literally said: Yes, you can absolutely sell a house with a lien on it. In fact, it happens every day. In most cases, you don’t need to pay off the lien out-of-pocket before you list the home. Instead, the debt is satisfied at closing. You then argued against your own argument. Maybe you should go back and reread what you wrote...

@BeyondTrueX @Sparkysimian @FractalBreak2 @Chris490360 Your reading comprehend needs some work. I said you would "NEVER" want to sell until the fraudulent lien is settled. Then I explained why, my advice is to clear it up in court prior to sale. In Montana, they have a Treble Damages statute, which helps prevent this fraud.

As an actual real estate investor (yes, seriously) I'd never take your advice at all. Yes, you can sell a property with a lien on it but funds will be held in escrow from the proceeds until the lien is cleared. In this instance the liens are for tens of millions of dollars, she would not be able to sell. I'd also dispute the strategy to pay off a fraudulent lien and then sue to get money back. That's ridiculously expensive and stupid. It's better to file a suit to quiet title prior to sale than do whatever your advice says.

@BeyondTrueX @Sparkysimian @FractalBreak2 @Chris490360 If a lien is fraudulent you would never want to sell your home until that is settled. Once you pay them, the law views the debt as settled. If you then sue to get that money back, you are the Plaintiff and the burden of proof shifts to you.

@BeyondTrueX @Sparkysimian @FractalBreak2 @Chris490360 You take them to court and at the hearing, the contractor has the burden of proving the lien is valid. If they can't show a valid contract and proof of work, the judge will order the lien released. Innocent until proven guilty.
