We set out to replicate Kimi's 193 tok/s Qwen3.5-0.8B on M3 Max. Our baseline is already 178 tok/s, beating LMStudio (160) and llama.cpp (140) out of the box, but with tinygrad's custom kernel feature Claude cranked it to 195.7!

@bridgemindai maybe but 3.5 was already decent, even ignoring benchmarks it's still useful for a lot of tasks (and keep the big claude and codex boys for the big shots)

A 27 billion parameter open source model.
If that doesn't prove these labs are benchmaxing, I don't know what does.
This is a model you can run on a laptop.
