It’s seems a lot of people overcomplicate the hobby “buy this, sell that, hold this, keep this sealed, move to vintage, chase modern” Like… how about collect what you enjoy? If you like it, buy it. If you don’t, don’t. Have fun, be responsible, and stop worrying about others.

The debate between modern & vintage Pokemon collecting/investing comes down to whether you value art or history more. Modern cards are beautiful, with full arts and texture. Vintage cards represent Pokemon’s origins and have historical prominence. Both can and will appreciate in value as the overall hobby grows. Although I believe vintage cards will continue to see parabolic moves in valuations due to true scarcity, especially for pristine conditions.
