You realize that the teacher and Bill probably pay the same tax rate, right? Carried interest is taxed at 20%. A teacher can make up to $100,000 and only pay 22% federal income tax. If your gripe is over 2%, keep screeching. But you are making it sound like there is some huge discrepancy between the tax rates.

One thing that is absurd is @BillAckman made $140 mil in income last year and paid a lower tax rate than a school teacher in LA due to the hedge fund tax scam called carried interest. This must be stopped. He is an investment manager and should be paid w2 income like I am.

OPTION, YOU’RE THE PRIZE 1. They cancel last minute? → Reply: “No problem. Let’s skip this week.” (You remove your energy without begging. They feel the loss.) 2. They text dry? → Don’t mirror it — reply hours later with: “Busy day. Let’s talk when you’re more present.” (You teach them your time matters.) 3. They send mixed signals? No overthinking. You move, they chase. 4. They come back after ghosting? → Say: “Takes more than silence to get my attention.” (You’re no longer available at their convenience.) 5. They flirt but never make plans?

@LyfeOfRyley @skill_of_life Avoidant behavior is not inherently hurtful. If any behavior in a partnership is hurtful to you, avoidant or otherwise, it is your job to do the inner work to discern where this “hurt” is coming from. At that point, have the conversation with your partner about that, no blaming.

I have dated four people with avoidant attachment in two years, and I can tell you with certainty, never date this type of person. They will shut down when you need connection, they will withdraw when you need support, and they will ignore your feelings when you need understanding. They avoid intimacy, they avoid responsibility, and they avoid accountability. Being with them means constant frustration, constant distance, and constant disappointment. You will give effort, you will give care, and you will give love, but they will not return it. They will keep you at arm's length, they will block emotional closeness, and they will leave you feeling unwanted. Never tolerate this behavior, never accept this pattern, and never waste your time on someone who refuses to grow. Always cut them off, because staying with them will only destroy your peace and your happiness.

@Adam__Meinhardt @joecarlsonshow How do you figure it's not cheap on any level? You can back into the valuation pretty easily to get to double digit returns. If it's trading at an earning shield of 6.66%, and even if it has only 5% earnings growth, you get a double digit return. W/ buybacks EPS is growing 15%.

@joecarlsonshow Adobe still trades around a 15x forward PE on a GAAP basis. The valuation has come down a lot but it’s now fairly valued, certainly not cheap on any meaningful metric

A man who needs his mother’s approval will always need someone’s approval. Consistency isn’t about the gym, it’s about showing up as the same man, day after day. Hobbies are distractions if there’s no discipline behind them. Clean clothes signal respect for himself, not for you. Don’t mistake presentation for character. A king doesn’t need to prove he’s capable; a prince is always auditioning.

@jaesmail emotional sovereignty to be more exact. You can also look into passive attraction. But if you actually want to ask brilliant questions, you will have to be intelligent and have a hell of a knowledge base to pull from. All of this takes years to decades, so good luck!

@IterIntellectus If you think you can "fix" liberal white women (or anyone for that matter), you're going to be pounding your head against the wall for eternity. People generally change only because they want to, and even then it's difficult. Just look at dieting as an example.

there are two kinds of liberal white women one is a symptom, the other is a diagnosis the first adopted the politics for social belonging, status, fitting in with her environment. she can easily be fixed when the incentives shift and a good man enters her life the second fused her identity with the ideology. updating would require ego death. she can never be fixed learn the difference. saves a lot of time

@sam_d_1995 @ppavnr YIMBY seems bigger than just housing. It includes green energy, transmission lines, and yes, even data centers. But yeah, there is no doubt that the YIMBY movement pretty much only deals with housing, including the meetups I have been to.
