Jesus Christ, I'm agnostic and even I know that in no way does it read like a metaphor. That's pacifistic wishcasting.
"Buy a sword" is plain language. Luke 22 only reads like a metaphor when your ideology demands it.

It doesn't read like a metaphor. It's literal and the key words signaling a dramatic transition of his disciples' mission are "but now".

Kevin Crosby, 49, was charged with manslaughter and driving while high after allegedly running over two cyclists
