What is the best piece of advice that you’ve ever received in your life?

Some of the people I love most in this world have TDS. I hear the stories. Families torn apart. Childhood friendships gone. Even divorce. I choose to hold my tongue. It's hard. I pity them. Blinded by hatred that leads to ignorance. Things we do for love.

The hardest battle for many veterans was never overseas. It was sitting in a quiet room after surviving chaos… trying to feel human again. Trying to reconnect with a world that kept moving while part of them stayed behind on the battlefield. Some came home carrying memories heavier than their gear. And some fights never ended when the war did.

My brother in law, an Army Vietnam veteran, passed away today. He was a great man. He was like a second father that helped raise me.

People need to lighten up. Quit being mad all the time. Laugh and smile, while it's still legal.
