CQ Roll Call Guild

(1/5): Today, the CQRC Guild will be entering decisional bargaining with management over the proposed layoffs of four of our unit members. Laying off our members without bargaining with the Guild is illegal and these layoffs never should have been attempted in the first place.

Meet the union busters of The Washington Post! Instead of following the law, Post management is pressuring Tech Guild members to accept defeat as they attempt to illegally lay off almost 30% of our unit (including most of our leadership team and bargaining committee).

This week, management eliminated three bargaining unit positions and reassigned two of our members to different roles in the newsroom. We won’t stand idly by as management turns this once thriving newsroom into a shell of its former self.
