The @Teacherman1986 Coaches Clinic was a huge success.  Coaches from around the country gathered to learn the drills, techniques, and progressions necessary to develop high level swings.    Parents/Players – if you like what you see, you now have more access than ever to learn the High Level Pattern from specially qualified coaches in your area.  You will square baseballs like never before.  Reach out to reach your full potential. @gritnj @abaeza43 @steve_sulcoski @standouthitting @syamlafi @ChezWhizzz @brandonvega_wt @Aj_Arroyo_ @uTeeBaseball @WillShaw2027

Hotel Boredom: Truth is Truth. It doesn’t require your blessing. Your swing can not be considered quick if you’re still applying force at contact. A quick swing is done several frames before you hit the ball. It is snapped instantly, quickly, and rearward into ‘autopilot’. Both of these hitters are feeling the quick rearward flick of the barrel, that launches the swing and ends force production, before they actually execute it. They can already feel what they are going to do if their decision is yes. They must feel that before the pitch is thrown. There is only one thing to do. They do the same thing every time.

Most popular drill is the kickstand because it puts the hitter into an alignment over the rear hip. Which creates the quickest path to the ball

Ah yes, more pictures of a swing during a drill where there was no focus of a forward move. (Even though the back leg is pivoting well) The picture actually shows a really good hand pivot point lol. Thanks Chris.

@theswingman444 @gritnj It needs to look more like this… Make sure to anchor that back foot in the ground as the elbow gets slotted. Snap!!!

Hand Pivot Point The barrel starts above the hands. The speed works down the back. The tighter the pivot point, the quicker the bat. #gritnj

When you watch a big league game this season pay attention to the hitter’s belly buttons. The greats: as soon as they swing the belly button turns completely. If it’s facing the plate at start it turns more than 90* instantly. The turn pulls the bat through. The others: their belly button stops/slows when it’s pointed oppo, and the arms push the barrel forward and out run their body’s turn It’s SO OBVIOUS here Don’t talk to me about deceleration and rotation and core strength and connection when you’re using your arms to swing.

Composite PA1 vs Joyce baseline (adj for HS/60ft): - Arm Slot: 35° (match) - Rel Pt Consist: High (low variance) - Stride: ~83% ht - Velo: 84 mph avg est - Spin: est 1950 rpm avg - Hip-Shldr Sep: est 55° - Penalty: 0 (clean mechanics) Tips: Build lower body power for more velo. Solid command! More vids?

Special thanks to @walterpchen for hosting a great @Teacherman1986 HLP clinic today in Texas. Brandon, the original “snapper”, was there who is a fantastic instructor. It’s a privilege to participate. I always learn something new.

Hitting Coaches: A phone that takes video is the ONLY thing you need to verify good and bad. Put the video side by side and compare. That's your guideline to see and correct what's wrong and confirm what's right
