There was no wash board on the track, the percussion was created by myself, I used a cabassa, foot stomp on a piece of wood & mouth percussion. The rhythm was emphasised by me playing a Gibson acoustic guitar without using a pick. Paul King emphasised Mike Cole’s stand up bass part by playing a glass jug, Colin Earl played an acoustic grand piano & I also played a 1960 Fender Strat with my fingers through a 1963 Marshall top as well as singing the two vocal tracks. The recording took place in Pye Studio one on an 8 track machine through a Neve desk & Tannoy monitors

Through our 50 Yard Challenge, over 6,000 kids across the country have signed up to mow free lawns for the elderly, disabled, veterans, active-duty military, first responders, and single parents. With America celebrating its 250th birthday this year and me also being born on July 4th, I wanted to humbly ask if a few kids from our program and myself could travel to Washington, D.C. to help mow the White House lawn for this historic celebration. More than anything, I want these kids to see how a simple act of service something as ordinary as mowing a lawn for someone in need can lead to extraordinary places. What better lesson in community service than showing them that helping others can take them all the way to our nation’s capital? I’d also love to bring my American flag-themed mower in hopes that the President might sign it, so I can later auction it off and donate 100% of the proceeds to a nonprofit supporting veterans. It would be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to highlight the importance of service, patriotism, and the impact young people can have when they choose to make a difference. 🇺🇸

@alexthechick I for one was quite fond of Heavenly Sword. Clearly God of War type game with a lady lead can work, so I can only assume that the reason to do this is to upset people who liked the existing franchise for the wrong reasons.

I am livid about this and I am more or less the exact person this game is supposedly made for. If female protagonists are so important, MAKE A BRAND NEW IP. Girl God of War is just insulting.

@RazorwireRPG Just recently replayed it with the restored content mod. The character progression is standout imho. There’s a number of very noticeable power spikes which are all story relevant. And yes, the writing is excellent.

Playing KOTOR 2 for the first time and loving it. I had forgotten how fucking great story based action RPG's could be. Only 6 hours in or so but already so impressed by the writing and design. Has that perfect balance of combat to narrative duality. Bliss.

Yo, this is actually insane. At first I thought it was just some clueless tourist being disrespectful… But no — it was a **university assistant professor**, a naturalized Japanese citizen of Egyptian origin. He stood inside a sacred Japanese shrine and loudly recorded himself reciting the Islamic Adhan (call to prayer). I’m just an ordinary Japanese citizen. This wasn’t some random idiot. This was someone who has been given Japanese citizenship and works as an academic in Japan. And yet he still chose to desecrate a place that holds deep spiritual meaning for the Japanese people. This is exactly why many Japanese are becoming extremely concerned. Even after becoming a Japanese citizen and holding a respected position, some people still don’t respect Japanese culture or traditions at all. Japan belongs to the Japanese people. We have every right to protect our shrines, our sacred spaces, and our way of life from those who clearly do not respect them.

They could get have civic nationalism in a shockingly short time if they would commit to it but the problem is that they don't want it either, to the Blob it's just a fallback position from polymorphously perverse multiculti.
